Overview

In the quiet of winter, we turn inward—and that’s often when the inner critic gets loud. This session is about identifying the harsh inner voice that questions your every move, learning where it came from, and beginning to relate to it differently.

Rather than trying to “silence” the inner critic, we’ll explore how to respond to it with grounded compassion and truth, so it no longer drives your decisions or diminishes your confidence.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Teaching on the origin and role of the inner critic

  • Identification of your inner critic’s favorite themes and tone

  • Journaling: What does my inner critic sound like—and what does it protect me from?

  • Separation practice: Learning to distinguish between truth and self-attack

  • Guided reflection to create your Inner Ally Voice

  • The difference between self-awareness and self-criticism

  • How the inner critic mimics voices from your past

  • Why it often gets louder as you grow

  • Building an internal source of encouragement and grounded self-talk

  • Developing a resilient identity rooted in self-trust


Structure of the Workshop

  • Grounding exercise + emotional temperature check

  • Teaching: What is the inner critic and why does it show up?

  • Journaling prompt: “What does my inner critic say, and when?”

  • Exercise: Separate the voice from the truth

  • Practice: Create your Inner Ally Script

  • Group reflection (optional)

  • Preview of Session 4: Worthy by Default

What to Bring

  • A recent moment when your inner critic was especially loud

  • Willingness to explore your self-talk with compassion

After the Workshop

You’ll leave with greater awareness of your inner critic’s patterns—and the power to respond instead of react. You’ll receive the Inner Ally Script Builder, a short, powerful tool to help you rewrite the voice in your head with one rooted in self-respect, not self-attack.

In Session 4: Worthy by Default, we’ll move from defense to expansion and explore what it means to embody your worth—without needing to earn it.
