Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) outline how we’ll work together and ensure clarity and trust throughout our coaching partnership. I’m here to guide, support, and cheer you on, but it’s important to have some guidelines so we’re both on the same page.
Definitions:
a. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to Carie Giroux Coaching, the service provider.
b. “Website” refers to our website located at https://cariegiroux.com.
c. “Services” refers to the coaching, programs, workshops, and any other offerings we provide through our website.
d. “User,” “you,” and “your” refer to any individual who accesses or uses our website and/or our services.
e. “Parties” refers collectively to Carie Giroux Coaching (the service provider) and the user of the website and/or services.
Use of our Website: a. You may use our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. b. You may not use our website in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation. c. You may not use our website to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, or any other form of solicitation.
User Account: a. To use our services, you may need to create an account. b. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password. c. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Our Coaching Partnership: This is a journey we take together—a partnership where we work on uncovering your true self, building confidence, and creating a life that feels aligned and fulfilling. My role is to guide and support you, but ultimately, you’re the one making the brave choices and taking the steps toward the life you want. A quick note: coaching is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice. It’s about growth, clarity, and forward momentum, and I’m honored to walk this path with you.
Your Coaching Experience. I offer flexible options to suit where you are on your journey: 1:1 Personalized Coaching: Private sessions designed just for you, Group Coaching: A collaborative space to connect with others on a similar path. You’ll gain insights, share wins, and learn from the group, and Workshops: Deep dives into specific topics, offered periodically to support your growth. Session Details: Each private session is 60 minutes and conducted virtually for flexibility. Each group session is 90 minutes and conducted virtually unless explicitly stated in the package. Please ensure you read the terms prior to purchasing the package and book an appointment. Subscription-Based Coaching Packages: Our coaching packages are subscription-based to provide flexibility and simplicity for clients.
Here’s how it works: When you purchase a coaching package (e.g., 1 session per month for 6 months), you will be charged in 6 equal monthly payments. After the completion of the 6th session, your subscription will automatically renew for another 6-month package, ensuring continuity of support and avoiding disruptions. You are free to cancel the subscription at any time up to 7 days before the next billing cycle begins. To cancel, you can: Manage your subscription directly through your client portal or reach out to me personally at hello@cariegiroux.com, and I’ll handle the cancellation for you.This setup is designed to make payments manageable and worry-free for you, while ensuring consistent support throughout your coaching journey. Please refer to my Refund Policy to ensure you understand the terms and conditions around refunds.
Your Investment & Policies. Coaching is an investment in yourself, and I’ve created options that fit a range of needs and budgets. Payment Options: Payments can be made via credit or debit card through the payment options offered. You can choose to pay in full before starting or set up monthly payments. Cancellations or Rescheduling: Life happens! If you need to reschedule, I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. For cancellations with less notice, the session may be forfeited unless there’s an emergency (at my discretion).
Refund Policy. Please ensure you read my full Refund Policy here. Coaching is a commitment to yourself, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. However, due to the nature of this work:
Completed Sessions: I don’t offer refunds for sessions that have already taken place.
Packages: Coaching packages are non-refundable, but unused sessions can be rescheduled and used within 12 months of purchase.
Special Circumstances: If life throws you a curveball, like a serious illness or major event, let’s talk about options. I’m always happy to work with you to find a solution.Your Privacy Matters. Everything we discuss stays between us. Your trust means everything to me, and I take confidentiality seriously. The only exceptions are: If required by law. If there’s a risk of harm to you or others. If I suspect abuse (I’m a mandated reporter). For my professional growth, I may discuss anonymized aspects of our work with mentors or peers, but I’ll never share your name or identifying details without your explicit permission. If you have sensitive details to share, please do so during our sessions rather than through email or text for added security.
Intellectual Property. a. Our website and all of its contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio) are owned by us, our licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. b. You may not use any of our intellectual property without our prior written consent.
Third-Party Websites: a. Our website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. b. We are not responsible for the content or availability of these third-party websites or resources. c. We do not endorse any products, services, or content on these third-party websites or resources.
Disclaimer of Warranties: a. Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty or condition, express, implied, or statutory. b. We do not warrant that our website or services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. c. We are not responsible for any damage to your computer or other device that results from your use of our website or services.
Limitation of Liability. While I’ll always give you my full attention, support, and expertise, your results depend on your commitment and actions. I can’t guarantee outcomes, and I’m not responsible for decisions you make during or after our coaching partnership. a. In no event shall we be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages (including, but not limited to, loss of profits, data, or use) arising out of or in connection with your use of our website or services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. b. If you are dissatisfied with our website or services, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using our website and services.
Indemnification: a. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of our website or services or your violation of these Terms.
Wrapping Up Our Partnership. If it feels like the right time to close this chapter of our work together, either of us can end our coaching relationship with two weeks’ notice. Any unused sessions from your package can still be scheduled within 12 months of purchase.
Governing Law: a. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Jersey. b. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or our website or services shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state.
