Who I am

This site is run by Carie Giroux through Five Foot Muse LLC, a New Jersey company. You can reach me anytime at hello at cariegiroux dot com.

What I collect

• When you sign up for my weekly email: your first name and email address.
• When you book a free brainstorm: booking happens on Google Calendar's booking page, so you share your first and last name, your email address, and your answers to a few short questions: about how big your business is, how you use AI today, how you found me, and one task you'd like automated.
• If you fill in the brainstorm prep form: your name, email address, and your answers about your business, like its size, how you use AI today, how you found me, and the task you'd like automated. Your answers are saved to my Google account and emailed to me so I can prepare for our call.
• When you email me: your email address and whatever you choose to write.
• If you become a client: what you share for our work together, like your intake form and project details. That's covered by our written agreement and confidentiality terms. Payments go through Stripe, and I never see your full card number.
• Basic technical details: when your browser loads any website, the companies that serve it can see things like your IP address and browser type. For this site, that's the company that hosts it, Vercel, and Google Fonts, which supplies the lettering.

What I don't collect: this site has no tracking cookies, no analytics and no advertising pixels. The “which package is right for me” quiz runs only on your own device, and your answers aren't sent to me.

How I use it

• To send you the weekly email, the free guide and subscriber-only podcast episodes you signed up for.
• To set up, hold, prepare for and follow up on your brainstorm.
• To answer your messages.
• To do client work and send invoices.

I never sell, rent or trade your information, and I don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Services that help me run things

A few trusted services handle parts of this for me. Each one has its own privacy policy.

How long I keep it

• Email list: until you unsubscribe. After that, I take you off the list.
• Bookings and emails: only as long as I need them to work with you or answer you.
• Client and payment records: as long as the law requires me to keep business and tax records.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe anytime with the one-click link at the bottom of every email.
• See, fix or delete your information: email hello at cariegiroux dot com and I'll take care of it within 30 days.
• Rather not use the Google booking page? Email me and we'll find a time that way.

Keeping it safe

Only I have access to the accounts that hold your information, and they're protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in. No system is perfect, but I take care with what you trust me with.

Children

This site is for adults who run businesses. It isn't meant for children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top. If it's a big change, I'll mention it in the weekly email too.
