The Guilt-Boundary Cycle
The Boundary Reset Workshop - Fall 2025
Details
Date: October 13th, 2025
Time: 7:00-8:00 PM EST
Location: Virtual / Google Meet
Overview
If you’ve ever said “yes” when you meant “no” and then felt resentful, exhausted, or invisible—you’re not alone. In this session, we’ll explore the guilt that often shows up when you try to set boundaries and why it feels so hard to put yourself first.
You’ll start to recognize the internal rules you’ve been living by—rules that were never truly yours—and begin to challenge the belief that saying no makes you selfish, rude, or unkind.
What to Expect
This workshop will guide you through:
Why guilt shows up even when you’re doing the right thing for yourself
How people-pleasing and guilt are connected through old emotional patterns
A powerful group activity: “What I wish I could say, but don’t…”
A new perspective on boundary-setting—not as conflict, but as clarity
Permission to make space for yourself without apology
Key Themes We'll Explore
Emotional and nervous system responses to saying no
The difference between actual wrongdoing and internalized guilt
The “good girl” rules and where they came from
How to recognize guilt as a sign of growth, not failure
Beginning to rewrite your emotional responses around boundaries
Structure of the Workshop
Opening grounding & check-in
Teaching with examples + common “guilt thoughts”
Group reflection & guided writing prompt
What I wish I could say sharing activity (optional participation)
Introduction of the 5 Scripts for Saying No Without Guilt
Closing + preview of Session 3: Boundaries That Stick
What to Bring
A notebook or journal
A pen
An example of a recent moment when you didn’t speak up
After the Workshop
You’ll receive a free resource: “5 Scripts for Saying No Without Guilt” to help you practice real-life boundary-setting in a way that feels true to who you are.
We’ll build on this in Session 3, where we’ll focus on how to set boundaries that actually stick—with less fear, more clarity, and no backpedaling.
